Hong Kong Sustainability Reporting Diploma

The Hong Kong Sustainability Reporting Diploma is designed to give you a comprehensive knowledge of the core requirements of GRI G4 Guidelines, HKEX ESG reporting requirements, and assurance reporting frameworks commonly applied.

Structure 

The Diploma is structured to develop the candidates knowledge of how they can assist companies in responding effectively to stakeholders, whilst providing a platform to manage economic, environmental, social and governance performance.

The diploma is taught in English. The structure is as follows:

• Session 1 - 3 hours lecture/training
• Session 2 - 3 hours lecture/training
• Session 3 - 3 hours lecture/training
• Session 4 - 2.5 hours CPD seminar with a 0.5 hour multiple-choice written exam at the beginning

All sessions are conducted on a Saturday afternoon.

What will I learn?

On completion of the Sustainability Reporting Diploma you will:

• Understand the rules for Hong Kong listed companies in relation to environmental, social and governance (ESG) disclosure requirements.
• Be able to structure ESG reporting to demonstrate the principles behind companies' sustainability strategies, and inform stakeholders of ongoing activities to protect the environment and conserve energy.
• be familiar with the core requirements of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting G4 Guidelines and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange ESG reporting requirements.

Registration

There are three intakes per year:

• January/February
• April/May
• October/November

Fees

• Application fee: HK$100 (non-refundable).
• Programme fee: HK$8,000 for the whole programme (including handouts and the first sitting of the exam).
• Exam re-sit fee: HK$200.
• Due to loss of certificate, the certificate re-issuance fee: HK$200.
